Chiem Patana History
History

4th May 1972

With US$ 60,000 in capital, Chiem Patana Knitting Co., Ltd. was registered and built on a 17.8 acre site in Sampran Nakhonpathom Province, Thailand.

1974

Construction was completed. The company began operation with 20 circular knitting machines and 18 wrap knitting machines



1977

Capital was raised to $275,000. All knitting machines were replaced by 500 shuttle weaving looms. A critical decision was made for the company to move into a more capital intensive sector.

1979

20,000 yarn spindles were in operation to supply raw material for the weaving factory.

1987

As the world demanded more yarn products, we delivered it. The company expanded its yarn spinning facility to 65,000 spindles.

8 th Jan 1988

A joint venture was formed with Toyota Tsusho Corporation to create Chiem Patana Synthetic Fibers Co., Ltd. (CPSF) producing 130 tons of polyester goods daily. The plant was built on a 71 acre site in Photharam, Ratchaburi Province, Thailand.


1990

With continuous success in yarn spinning, we expanded our yarn spinning capacity to 193,892 spindles. In addition, we also expanded our weaving capacity to 1,000 shuttle looms and 416 air-jet looms. This colossal 91 acre expansion is located next to our polyester plant.

2001

Yarn spinning capacity was added to both Sampran and Photharam. Company-wide capacity totaled at 275,424 spindles, making us the largest yarn spinning factory in Thailand.

2003

2400 rotors of open-end yarn machines were added to create a new line in our yarn production business.

2005

Because of our expansion to various textiles products, Chiem Patana Knitting Co., Ltd. was renamed Chiem Patana Textiles Co., Ltd.
